Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Lab Tech I to support Quality Control testing at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Bellmead, TX. This is a 100% onsite, contract role (6 months initial) paying $19/hour. The position offers hands-on laboratory experience working with routine analytical testing and sample handling in a GMP environment.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate sample receipt, labeling, and tracking for QC testing.
- Perform routine analytical testing and measurements to support product quality.
- Operate basic lab instrumentation (balances, pH meters, spectrophotometers, etc.) following SOPs.
- Enter and maintain test data in lab software and electronic records accurately.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory safety procedures.
- Assist with basic data interpretation and escalate anomalies to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field — or an Associate’s degree with relevant lab experience.
- 0–3 years of laboratory experience (entry-level candidates encouraged).
- Basic laboratory instrumentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication; basic computer skills for data entry.
- Familiarity with GMP laboratory practices is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with analytical equipment such as analytical balances, total carbon analyzers, spectrophotometers, and pH meters.
- Prior quality control or biotechnology/pharmaceutical lab experience.
Location, Schedule & Compensation
- Worksite: Bellmead, TX (onsite)
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Length: 6 months initial contract (potential extensions depending on business needs)
- Pay: $19 per hour
