Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Lab Technician I (entry-level) in Jacks Cabin, CO to support GMP laboratory work in veterinary product manufacturing. This full-time role involves aseptic techniques, media and tissue culture preparation, basic equipment operation, and accurate recordkeeping. Training is provided; relevant lab experience (cell culture, vaccine work, or GMP environments) is a strong plus.
Estimated pay (source): $173,714 per year (estimated).
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma with commensurate experience OR bachelor’s degree
- Basic laboratory familiarity or related hands-on experience preferred
- Willingness to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to pass a physical abilities test prior to start
- Effective written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Cell culture and tissue culture experience (very helpful)
- Aseptic/clean-room experience
- Experience using pH meters, centrifuges (UniFuge), and standard lab measuring equipment
- Prior experience with SAP or similar systems
- Vaccine knowledge or prior exposure to vaccine production workflows
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory procedures in support of veterinary product manufacturing, including:
- Aseptic work and clean-room practices
- Media preparation, antigen inoculation, harvest, and tissue culture setup/harvest
- Filling and processing steps required for vaccine production
- Maintain accurate records: logbooks, charts, and batch documentation
- Operate, set up, and clean laboratory equipment; sterilize glassware and tools
- Communicate unusual or non‑routine occurrences to supervision immediately
- Follow all safety policies and GMP/SOP requirements at all times
Working Conditions & Safety
- Work may include exposure to biological materials; note that embryonated eggs are utilized for virus propagation in some processes
- Hazardous materials used onsite may include isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, phenolic disinfectants, and oxidizers
- This role requires adherence to PPE, aseptic behavior, and safety protocols
- A pre-employment physical abilities test is required

- Shift: Stretch schedule (e.g., a block of four 10‑hour days may be used)
- Location: Jacks Cabin, CO (onsite)
- Training and on‑the‑job supervision provided for entry-level technicians
