What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Lab Project Manager to support client projects from setup through closure. This role ensures accurate project setup, monitors sample intake and progress, and communicates status to internal teams and clients while developing foundational project management skills.

  • Assist with project setup in LIMS: enter accurate client data, pricing, and required documentation.
  • Monitor sample receipt and coordinate with sample receiving/log-in teams to ensure timely intake and tracking.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for routine client inquiries; escalate complex issues to senior staff.
  • Track project milestones and communicate status updates to internal teams and external clients.
  • Support project closure activities — confirm deliverables, assist invoicing, and archive documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and help prepare project status reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on client expectations and timelines.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and contribute suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive, professional client experience through courteous and timely communication.

Compensation

  • $30–35 per hour DOE (hourly range provided by source)
  • Location: Tustin, CA (on-site at laboratory facilities)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accurate data entry
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service, project coordination, or a laboratory environment
  • OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout lab and office environments
  • Manual dexterity to operate computer systems and lab equipment
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to chemicals and environmental samples while following PPE and safety procedures
