Schedule & Location

Confidential Client is hiring a part-time Lab Associate (Flow Cytometry) to work in Newhall, CA.
Shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM. This role is on-site in Newhall, California and will be hired by Confidential Client (not Careertakes).

What You’ll Do

This role supports regulated laboratory operations focused on flow cytometry and related analytical tasks. Key responsibilities include:

• Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines.
• Run routine data analysis and review results to ensure procedures are proceeding as expected and values fall within acceptable tolerances.
• Identify, document, and escalate unusual results or potential performance errors to senior lab personnel.
• Prepare data analysis results for upload to the laboratory information management system (LIMS) under guidance from senior staff.
• Assist with quality investigations, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Prepare buffers, solutions, and reagents as required for assays.
• Perform calibration, maintenance, and routine checks of laboratory equipment as assigned.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance to entry-level staff; support onboarding activities.
• Participate in procedure reviews, updates, and implementation of process changes.
• Notify inventory teams of supply shortages and help manage consumables.
• Represent the lab on cross-functional projects when needed and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Support ongoing professional development and adhere to safety, quality, and 6S initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications and preferred skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Some regulated/CAP/CLIA locations may require a BSc in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology.)
• At least 6 months’ experience in a regulated laboratory environment (preferred).
• Basic working knowledge of assigned technical area, systems, and procedures; understanding of responsibilities.
• Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards (for example, Good Laboratory Practices — GLP).
• Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques and routine/non-routine laboratory calculations (averages, means, standard deviations, QC metrics).
• Experience or comfort working with automation or specialized laboratory equipment (including flow cytometers).
• Working knowledge of LIMS data entry and basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, and chemical handling procedures.

Compensation

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $34,700.00 - $72,300.00 (USD). The actual base pay offered will depend on factors including job-related qualifications (knowledge, skills, education, experience), location, and schedule (part-time). Depending on the role, additional incentive plans, bonuses, or other forms of compensation may be available. This posting complies with applicable pay-transparency requirements for roles based in California.
