What You’ll Do
The Laboratory Analyst I supports routine laboratory operations under supervision at Confidential Client in Portland, OR. This is an entry-level role focused on accurate sample processing, instrument support, and documentation while developing laboratory skills.
- Prepare standards and reagents following established SOPs
- Set up, load, and run instruments for routine analyses with guidance
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assisted investigation steps under supervision
- Complete accurate laboratory documentation and maintain sample tracking
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of instruments with guidance
- Support senior analysts and participate in training and quality-system activities
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 0–2 years of laboratory experience (internships or coursework qualify)
- Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and common lab equipment
- Ability to read and follow written procedures and SOPs precisely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate results
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Clear communication and ability to work effectively on a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Manual dexterity to operate instruments and computer systems
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Work in a laboratory environment with exposure to chemicals and environmental samples while using appropriate PPE

- Pay Rate: $22–$25 per hour, DOE
