What You’ll Do

The Laboratory Analyst I supports routine laboratory operations under supervision at Confidential Client in Portland, OR. This is an entry-level role focused on accurate sample processing, instrument support, and documentation while developing laboratory skills.

• Prepare standards and reagents following established SOPs
• Set up, load, and run instruments for routine analyses with guidance
• Perform basic laboratory tests and assisted investigation steps under supervision
• Complete accurate laboratory documentation and maintain sample tracking
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of instruments with guidance
• Support senior analysts and participate in training and quality-system activities
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field
• 0–2 years of laboratory experience (internships or coursework qualify)
• Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and common lab equipment
• Ability to read and follow written procedures and SOPs precisely
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate results
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Clear communication and ability to work effectively on a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Manual dexterity to operate instruments and computer systems
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
• Work in a laboratory environment with exposure to chemicals and environmental samples while using appropriate PPE

• Pay Rate: $22–$25 per hour, DOE
