Position Overview

The Laboratory Analyst (entry-level) will support plant process control and quality assurance at Confidential Client’s Houston, TX facility. This role combines hands-on lab work with training on instrumentation, method development, calibration, and data reporting. You will perform routine and some non-routine analyses, assist production teams with analytical support, follow SOPs and HS&E policies, and contribute to a safe, compliant lab environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform routine analyses of finished products, in-process samples, raw materials and wastewater in compliance with SOPs and HS&E procedures
  • Provide day-to-day analytical support to plant personnel
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing using wet chemistry, ion chromatography, ICP and other methods
  • Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Support method development, special projects and non-routine testing and reporting
  • Complete daily safety and analytical equipment inspections for Laboratory and Production units
  • Conduct tests in the laboratory and on plant process equipment as assigned
  • Participate in departmental safety meetings and complete assigned safety inspections

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in a science or technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 0–2 years’ experience in a chemical/process industry lab environment (new graduates encouraged)
  • Knowledge or coursework/training in ion chromatography, wet chemistry techniques, ICP and wastewater analyses
  • TWIC credential (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required
  • Ability to lift and carry testing equipment to production test locations
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of plant personnel
  • Ability to multi-task and manage assignments in a matrixed environment
  • Good written and oral presentation skills and demonstrated initiative

  • This is a full-time, permanent, onsite role at our Houston, TX facility.
