What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Justice Grants and Program Analyst to support the Division of Administrative Services / Justice and Community Services under close supervision of a Justice Grants Manager. This role focuses on administration, monitoring, and reporting for one or more federal or state grant‑in‑aid programs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review sub‑grant applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Evaluate proposed goals and objectives and define measurable metrics for performance and evaluation.
  • Prepare and update comprehensive sub‑grant monitoring reports covering administrative, financial, and programmatic aspects.
  • Conduct on‑site and off‑site monitoring of funded activities to ensure safe operations and fidelity to program requirements.
  • Monitor financial and programmatic compliance with state and federal laws, grant conditions, and assurances.
  • Coordinate with advisory committees, work groups, and stakeholders related to grant projects.
  • Document findings, prepare corrective action plans when needed, and follow up to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to protect facilities and programs civilly and legally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with a major or minor in:

  • Criminal justice
  • Political science
  • Social sciences
  • Mathematics or statistics
  • Planning or management
  • Related fields demonstrating strong analytical and writing skills

Compensation & Employment Type

  • Salary range: $39,461 - $68,582 per year (provided by Confidential Client).
  • Employment type: Full‑time.

Location

  • Primary work location: Big Chimney, WV (Kanawha County). This posting is for work based in Big Chimney, WV; any travel or site monitoring expectations will be communicated during the hiring process.
