Overview

This is a 12‑month W2 contract opportunity with a confidential client in the Design Services / Graphic Design / Banking space. The role is based in San Antonio, TX and operates in a hybrid / onsite campus model. Pay: $45 per hour (W2). W2 only — no C2C. Visa sponsorship is available.

This entry‑to‑early‑career Junior UX Designer role (recent graduates through ~2–4 years experience) will support key member experiences such as Join, Onboarding, and Member Recognition & Rewards. The position emphasizes human‑centered design, visual design, user research, and mobile experiences.


What You’ll Do

  • Apply human‑centered design methodologies (including the Double Diamond framework) to deliver member‑facing experiences.
  • Design intuitive, user‑focused flows and interfaces informed by research and data.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and low‑fi sketching.
  • Participate in user research activities: interviews, usability testing, synthesis, and insights generation.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to validate and iterate design decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Analysts, and Legal partners.
  • Contribute to design critiques and iterate on solutions based on feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design or a closely related human‑centered field (or equivalent).
  • Recent graduate or approximately 2–4 years of professional UX design experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of human‑centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Strong visual design skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Figma.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Portfolio that demonstrates user‑centered and visual design capabilities (academic projects are acceptable).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for native mobile apps or Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
  • Graphic design or motion design experience.
  • Interest in emerging technologies and integrating AI into product experiences and design workflows.
