What You’ll Do
As a Junior Systems Engineer supporting a Confidential Client in the Engineering sector, you will contribute to design, integration, and test activities for mission-critical systems in a SCIF environment. Typical responsibilities include:
- Assist in developing system requirements, specifications, and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) from stakeholder input
- Support functional analysis, interface definition, data-flow diagrams, and system design artifacts
- Contribute to integration and test efforts in accordance with NSA Test & Evaluation policies; help develop test plans and analyze test results
- Assist with configuration management, troubleshooting, and implementation of system changes
- Support development of Interface Control Documents (ICDs), XML schemas, and metadata models
- Help prepare technical documentation and prototype support for government stakeholders on high-priority national security missions
Who You Are
Minimum qualifications and attributes for success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited) with no experience, OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics plus 1 year relevant systems engineering experience
- For non-ABET programs: the degree must include differential and integral calculus plus 5 of 18 specified technical areas as required by the role
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (required)
- Ability to work in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)
- Willingness to travel CONUS/OCONUS as mission requires
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with government and engineering teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $57,850.00 - $104,575.00 per year (provided by the client)
- Estimated typical salary for similar roles: approximately $99,528/year (estimate)
