Role Overview

Join a growing consulting team as a Junior Software Engineer working for a confidential client. This entry-level, full-time role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career developers who want hands-on experience building scalable software in a fast-paced consulting environment. You will work on backend and API development, debugging, testing, and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Paid training in Atlanta, GA is provided; candidates must be willing to relocate for training and travel or relocate for client engagements as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable and scalable software applications
  • Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following development best practices
  • Collaborate with engineers, QA, business analysts, and other cross-functional team members
  • Develop and integrate APIs, backend services, and software components
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and performance issues
  • Participate in code reviews and help improve code quality and standards
  • Work with databases and write SQL queries to support application functionality
  • Use Git or other version control systems for source control
  • Assist in deploying and maintaining applications across development, test, and production environments
  • Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in sprint planning and team ceremonies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
  • 1–4 years of professional experience in software development or related roles
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, Kotlin, or similar
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software fundamentals
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and client-server architecture
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Basic familiarity with Git or other version control systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to different client environments
  • Willingness to relocate to Atlanta, GA for the paid training program and to travel/relocate for client engagements across the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship, academic, or personal projects demonstrating software development experience
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot, .NET, React, Angular, Django, Flask, or similar
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Basic understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD, and automated testing
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, or distributed systems
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development processes

Compensation & Location

  • Employment type: Full-time (W2)
  • Pay range: $35.00/hr – $40.00/hr (base pay)
  • Location: State of Utah (role will require relocation to Atlanta, GA for paid training; travel/relocation for client work possible)
  • Note: Actual pay will depend on skills and experience and will be discussed with the recruiter.
