Overview

This opportunity is for an entry-level Junior Software Engineer to join a confidential client’s growing engineering team. The role is based in San Francisco, CA. Remote (telecommute) flexibility may be available. You will design, build, and maintain scalable web and backend systems, collaborate across product and design teams, and contribute to code quality through reviews and testing.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and services
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with tests
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver features

Qualifications

• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, or similar
• Understanding of software development principles and basic system design
• Experience with databases, APIs, and web technologies
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field is typical for this level

Compensation

• Base pay range: $60,000 — $110,000 per year (range provided by the confidential client). Final pay will be based on skills and experience.
