What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Junior Software Engineer to help build and maintain web-based products. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver features, fix bugs, and improve system reliability.

• Contribute to development of new features across the stack, from design to delivery
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Debug and resolve production issues with guidance from senior engineers
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices
• Collaborate with product and QA to ensure high-quality releases
• Assist with writing and maintaining automated tests and documentation
• Continuously learn new tools, frameworks, and techniques

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking candidates who are early in their engineering career and eager to grow. Strong communication and a learning mindset matter more than years of experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience — or demonstrable coding projects/bootcamp experience
• 0–2 years professional software development experience or relevant internship/project work
• Practical knowledge of at least one programming language (for example: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#)
• Familiarity with web development concepts (APIs, HTTP, front-end frameworks, DOM)
• Basic experience with version control (Git) and modern development workflows
• Problem-solving skills and ability to break down tasks
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with React, Node.js, Django, Spring, or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with automated testing (unit/integration)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker)
• Prior internship or open-source contributions
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

Location & Work Arrangement

• Primary work location: San Antonio, TX (San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area)
• On-site presence in San Antonio is expected unless otherwise arranged with the hiring team. Remote or hybrid arrangements, if available, will be discussed during the interview process.
