Role overview

This is an early-career, high-expectations software engineering role on a premier enterprise data platform project. You'll work primarily in a Python/Django stack with frontend exposure (Vue.js) and cloud-native tooling in Azure. The role includes hands-on development, mentorship, and structured training designed to accelerate career growth into a full-stack engineer or adjacent platform/data engineering roles.


What You’ll Do

  • Build application features in a Python / Django / Vue.js environment
  • Develop across the stack: backend services, APIs, databases, and frontend components
  • Work on cloud-native deployment patterns in Azure and Kubernetes
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and containerized deployments (Helm)
  • Troubleshoot production and non-production issues across application, infrastructure, and pipeline layers
  • Write clean, maintainable code, tests, and technical documentation
  • Learn and apply new tools, frameworks, and engineering patterns quickly
  • Step into platform or data engineering tasks (Azure Databricks) as business needs require
  • Explore agentic AI development where appropriate

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field
  • ~1 year of relevant experience (internships, academic projects, research, or professional work)
  • Strong foundation in programming, data structures, algorithms, and software fundamentals
  • Experience coding in at least one language through coursework, projects, or internships
  • Clear written and verbal communication; methodical problem solving
  • Comfortable learning new technologies quickly and accepting feedback
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal public trust (or equivalent client-required background investigation)
  • Candidate must reside and perform all work in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and have lived in the U.S. for three (3) of the last five (5) years

Preferred qualifications

  • Exposure to Python and Django or similar web frameworks
  • Familiarity with web development concepts (APIs, frontend frameworks like Vue.js)
  • Experience with Linux, scripting, Git, or command-line tooling
  • Exposure to cloud concepts, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, or Azure
  • Familiarity with SQL and data modeling; any exposure to Azure Databricks is a plus

Pay Range

  • $67,355.00 - $114,503.00 (full-time annual range). Final pay will depend on experience, skills, location, and contract terms.
