What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring motivated early-career engineers to join a US-remote engineering program focused on building practical Java and backend development skills. This is an entry-level / junior opportunity designed to move recent grads and career-switchers into production development work quickly.

• Contribute to backend and full-stack features using Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot preferred).
• Help design, implement, and document RESTful APIs.
• Write and maintain SQL queries and interact with relational databases.
• Use Git for source control; follow branch and PR workflows.
• Debug issues, write unit tests, and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates (QA, product, devops) to deliver cloud-ready applications.
• Learn production deployment patterns and basic cloud concepts (AWS/Azure/GCP) as part of on-the-job training.

Who We’re Looking For

This role is intended for entry-level candidates, recent graduates, and career switchers who have strong fundamentals and a desire to learn on the job.

Required / core qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or equivalent experience — OR demonstrable project experience.
• Foundational knowledge of Java (or similar object‑oriented language).
• Familiarity with HTTP, REST APIs, and basic SQL.
• Basic Git workflow knowledge (commits, branches, pull requests).
• Problem-solving attitude and willingness to receive technical mentorship.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice-to-have (but not required):

• Exposure to Spring Boot or other Java frameworks.
• Some front-end experience (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) or full‑stack coursework/projects.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) or cloud platforms.
• Coursework or projects in data structures, algorithms, or systems design.
