What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Junior Software Engineer (Remote). As an early-career engineer you’ll contribute to product development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and grow your engineering skills through hands-on work and mentorship.
- Write, test, and maintain clean, well-documented code in an agile team
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to deliver features on schedule
- Assist with automated testing, CI/CD, and basic operational support
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants who are early in their engineering careers and eager to learn. Candidates should demonstrate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent practical experience
- Foundational understanding of software development principles (data structures, algorithms, version control)
- Experience building small projects or contributions to real-world software (internships, coursework, open-source, or personal projects)
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, C#)
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively on a remote team
Nice-to-Have
- Internship or work experience on product teams
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) or backend frameworks
- Exposure to unit testing, automated builds, or cloud platforms
- Experience with git and collaborative workflows
Work Arrangement & Location
- This is a remote position. Candidates should be able to work hours that reasonably overlap with the engineering team and have a reliable internet connection.
