Confidential Client is seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer / BI Analyst to join an entry-level full-stack program. This role is ideal for recent grads or early-career engineers who want hands-on experience building end-to-end applications and working with BI tools like Power BI. The position supports remote work with a primary location of Pasadena, CA (authoritative location).

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to front-end and back-end development using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript and React
• Build and consume REST APIs and integrate with SQL databases
• Use Git for version control and follow basic CI/CD and deployment practices
• Develop, test, and debug features across the full stack with mentor guidance
• Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to surface insights from data
• Join code reviews, document technical decisions, and present work in team settings
• Prepare portfolio-ready projects that demonstrate end-to-end application development

Who You Are / Qualifications

Minimum requirements (entry / junior level):

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience, OR demonstrable portfolio/projects
• Familiarity with at least one backend language (Java preferred) and one frontend framework (React, JavaScript)
• Basic SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
• Exposure to REST APIs, Git, and cloud fundamentals (AWS/Azure/GCP basics)
• Interest or experience in BI/analytics and Power BI report development
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions
• Eagerness to learn, accept feedback, and grow technical skills rapidly
