What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on full-stack engineering role on a small, growing US engineering team supporting an AI-enabled product portfolio for a confidential client in the Environmental Services industry. You’ll write production-quality code, own components end-to-end, and help deliver AI-powered features used across global business units.
- Design and implement features across React frontends and Python backends (Django, FastAPI).
- Own components and small services from specification through deployment and ongoing operation.
- Contribute to AI-enabled features such as prompt engineering, agent workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and LLM integrations.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions; influence technical direction as you gain ownership.
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and take part in code reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into shipped software.
- Improve developer practices: CI/CD, automated testing, documentation, and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
- 0–3 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency with React (or a comparable modern frontend framework) and Python (Django, FastAPI, or similar).
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and modern web application architecture.
- Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable working across time zones and with non-technical stakeholders.
- Genuine curiosity about AI/ML and interest in building AI-powered products.
Strongly Preferred
- Production experience integrating with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar).
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph), vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate), or RAG architectures.
- Exposure to modern data infrastructure (Databricks, Snowflake, Airbyte, or similar).
- Familiarity with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Temporal, or similar).
- Experience on small teams where individual ownership and cross-functional collaboration are common.
- Background in AEC, construction tech, or enterprise/compliance-sensitive industries is a plus.
Location & Schedule
- Based in New York, NY (confidential client office).
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in-office, 1 hybrid/remote day.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $110,000–$140,000 per year.
- Benefits and other perks will be provided by the confidential client and discussed during the interview process.
