What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level software engineering role where you'll join an engineering team delivering secure, reliable software that supports intelligence and national-security missions.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, implement, test, and deliver features
• Write clean, maintainable code and unit/integration tests
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in collaboration with senior engineers
• Learn and apply secure coding practices and relevant compliance standards
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Communicate progress and technical trade-offs clearly with teammates and stakeholders
• Continuously learn new tools, frameworks, and domain knowledge relevant to the mission

Qualifications

Minimum requirements (candidates who clearly meet these will be competitive):

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field — OR equivalent practical experience
• Solid programming fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, debugging)
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic software engineering workflows
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively on a team and take direction from senior engineers
• U.S. work authorization required

Preferred (nice-to-have)

• Internship or project experience building production software
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD principles
• Familiarity with web/backend development or one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#) — specific language experience is a plus but not required
• Interest or experience in security-conscious development; willingness to pursue any required background checks or clearances

• Location: Maryland, United States (on-site or hybrid, depending on the team)
• Employment type: Full-time
• Note: Because our client supports the Intelligence Community, willingness to complete background checks and obtain security clearance may be required for certain roles. The client will inform candidates early in the process if clearance is necessary.
