Role overview
Junior Software Engineer Auburn Hills MI — entry-level role on a Digital Factory / Digital Manufacturing team building and customizing manufacturing/CAD-CAM integrations. You will work with C#, .NET (Framework/Core), Python, and Visual Studio to deliver reliable automation and integration solutions for manufacturing customers. This is a hybrid, full-time position based in Auburn Hills, MI with regular onsite collaboration and client deployments.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain software components and integrations using C#, .NET Framework/Core, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Write clean, efficient Python scripts for automation, data processing, and system integration.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams on feature implementation, debugging, and code reviews.
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure production reliability.
- Support deployments and integrations at customer sites (travel required; see Logistics).
- Document code, technical designs, and deployment procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, CI tooling, and internal automation.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong fundamentals in C# and familiarity with the .NET ecosystem (Framework and/or Core).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio for development and debugging.
- Practical experience with Python for scripting, automation, or data tasks.
- Interest in CAD/CAM, PLM, or manufacturing software (experience is a plus).
- Solid problem-solving, attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset.
- Comfortable working in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
- Ability and willingness to travel to client sites (up to 40%).
