Position Overview
Confidential client seeks a motivated Junior Software Developer (entry-level) to join an onsite team in San Angelo, TX. This role supports development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications and databases used in regulated environments. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of hands-on experience with VBScript, C#, SQL, and HTML/CSS and are comfortable working with validation documentation in GxP settings.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain GxP-regulated systems and web-based applications using VBScript, C#, .NET, SQL, and HTML/CSS.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, reports, and database objects.
- Troubleshoot application issues and support incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Assist with Computer System Validation (CSV) deliverables, including requirements and functional specifications, test scripts, validation protocols, and traceability matrices.
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, and change-control activities.
- Maintain system and validation documentation to meet GxP and internal quality procedures.
- Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and IT stakeholders to implement improvements and ensure data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA+ principles, and data integrity best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 1–2 years of software development experience (internships acceptable).
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with:
- VBScript
- C# / .NET
- SQL Server / T-SQL
- HTML and basic CSS
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Comfortable producing and maintaining validation documentation for regulated systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Computer System Validation (CSV) in a GxP context.
Compensation & Employment Details
- Employment model: W2 contract (8 months, possible extensions).
- Pay rate: $23.00 - $24.75 per hour (determined by experience). Paid weekly.
- Work model: Onsite in San Angelo, TX.
- Note: This is a W2-only role; C2C and C2H will not be considered.
