What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level, onsite software engineering role supporting military Modeling & Simulation (M&S) efforts. You will work under senior developer guidance to design, build, integrate, test, and maintain simulation software used for training, analysis, and decision support.

  • Assist in developing simulation software for military training and analysis under senior supervision
  • Follow coding standards, maintain version control (Git), and participate in code reviews
  • Learn and apply simulation frameworks (HLA, DIS) and real-time/constructive simulation concepts
  • Contribute to building simulation scenarios, models, and system behaviors
  • Support integration of models with C4ISR systems and other external interfaces
  • Write and maintain technical documentation (design specs, test plans)
  • Participate in software testing and quality assurance activities
  • Follow configuration management and software security guidelines
  • Collaborate with teammates to translate basic military requirements into software components

What We’re Looking For (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of software development experience (internships and academic projects qualify)
  • Basic proficiency in one or more languages: C++, C#, Java, or Python
  • Understanding of core software engineering principles and debugging techniques
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaborative communication

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Academic coursework or projects in modeling & simulation
  • Exposure to HLA, DIS, or similar M&S frameworks
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices
  • Basic experience with databases and data structures
  • Experience with version control (Git) and software testing principles
  • Interest in defense and military systems
