What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using modern programming practices.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C/C++ and other object‑oriented languages.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.
  • Support system enhancements by adding new features and optimizing existing functionality.
  • Contribute to unit and integration testing, and support CI/build pipelines and deployments.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain version control best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of mission objectives.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of professional or internship experience in software development (entry‑level / junior).
  • Strong hands‑on experience developing in C/C++.
  • Solid understanding of object‑oriented design and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated ability to debug, test, and maintain systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related engineering discipline (completed, accredited degree required).
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required — U.S. Citizenship and successful security investigation are required.
  • Onsite work at the Patuxent River / Lexington Park, MD area.

Desired (nice to have):

  • Experience with Ada95/98.
  • Experience with real‑time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Familiarity with mission systems avionics or military narrowband communications.

Qualifications & Employment Details

  • Employment type: FULL_TIME.
  • Location: Lexington Park / Patuxent River, MD — Onsite.
  • Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year (depending on experience).
  • Security: Active Top Secret clearance required or ability to transfer/maintain clearance per program rules.
