Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Junior Software Developer to join an early-career talent pool working on real-world projects. This entry / mid-level position is ideal for recent graduates or developers with up to 2 years of experience who want hands-on experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, databases, and modern SDLC practices.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop, test, and maintain software applications across the full SDLC
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code alongside experienced engineers
  • Work with Java, Python, JavaScript (or similar languages) on backend and/or frontend tasks
  • Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution
  • Participate in code reviews, team design discussions, and sprint planning
  • Integrate with databases and REST APIs as required by projects
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation
  • Continuously learn new technologies and apply them based on project needs
  • Collaborate with product owners, QA, and project managers to deliver features

What We’re Looking For (Required Skills)

  • Knowledge of programming fundamentals and object-oriented concepts
  • Familiarity with one or more of: Java, Python, JavaScript
  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • Awareness of SDLC, version control, and software development methodologies
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and ability to work effectively on a team

Nice to Have (Preferred Skills)

  • Experience with Git / GitHub or other version control systems
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and API integration patterns
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Internship, academic, or project experience in software development
  • Experience or exposure to Agile / Scrum practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Recent graduates and candidates with 0–2 years of software development experience are encouraged to apply
