What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level developer to join an SAP/IT engineering team in Foster City, CA. This is a structured mentorship role for candidates with strong computer science fundamentals and solid Python skills who want to learn SAP ABAP, SAP BTP, UI5/Fiori, and related integration patterns.

• Contribute to development tasks under senior architects’ guidance using Python and foundational ABAP.
• Learn and apply the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) to build backend services.
• Support UI5/Fiori front-end development inside SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).
• Assist with REST/OData integrations and simple API work; write and maintain scripts and small services in Python.
• Participate in cross-functional design discussions focused on functional areas such as MM, PP, QM, EWM, and EAM.
• Follow secure App Router patterns and learn app security/configuration best practices.
• Debug, test, and document code; collaborate with teammates and stakeholders to meet sprint goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline (recent graduates welcome).
• Working proficiency in Python (core syntax, scripting, and basic OOP).
• Foundational exposure to ABAP, OOP concepts, or SAP through coursework, internships, or academic projects.
• Basic familiarity with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST/OData concepts) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a structured mentorship program.
• Good verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to Have

• Academic exposure to SAP BTP, Fiori, or cloud application development.
• SAP certifications completed during college or training programs.
• Familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Requests, FastAPI/Flask, or PyTest.
• Exposure to AI-agent frameworks or tooling (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen) through coursework, hackathons, or side projects.

Compensation & Location

• Location: Foster City, CA (on-site or hybrid per client policy — final arrangement determined by Confidential Client).
• Estimated pay (from source): $88,304 per year — provided as an estimate only. Final compensation will be determined by Confidential Client based on experience, skills, and applicable law.
