Confidential Client is seeking a motivated Junior PSOC Administrator to join a mission-focused operations center supporting government IT and mission services in North Springfield, VA. This is a full-time role on a rotating evening schedule (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM EST) providing 24x7x365 monitoring and support of production systems. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key responsibilities
- Actively monitor assigned operational systems, services, and approved monitoring tools for critical events and server errors.
- Triage alerts and communicate with on-site O&S teams to coordinate timely issue resolution.
- Respond to incoming support calls, attempt first-call resolution, and escalate per procedures.
- Provide timely status updates and prepare information for ESC briefings and Service Restoration meetings.
- Participate in shift handoffs and follow incident documentation and tracking processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support continuous operations and mission objectives.
Minimum qualifications
- One of the following experience/education combinations:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years relevant experience, or
- Associate’s degree plus 4+ years relevant experience, or
- HS/GED plus 6+ years relevant experience
- Operational experience with ServiceNow (incident/ticket handling).
- Experience supporting or working within the Intelligence Community preferred.
- DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) IAT Level I (must obtain within 6 months of hire if not already held).
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- Must pass background and drug screening.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Prior PSOC/SOC or federal mission-operations center experience.
Knowledge, skills & abilities
- Ability to obtain CI Polygraph clearance if required.
- Comfortable working evening/night shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM EST).
- Strong verbal and written communication; able to prepare concise status updates and briefings.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates and stakeholders.
- Able to manage multiple tasks under time-related constraints in a contracting environment.
- Professional presence, helpful attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and common Office tools.
Compensation & other hiring details
- Estimated salary: USD $81,700 — $90,000 per year (as provided by the client).
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Confidential Client participates in E-Verify and requires successful completion of background and drug screening for employment.
- This role is located in North Springfield, VA; applicants must be eligible to hold/maintain required security clearances.
