Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Junior PSOC Administrator to provide 24x7x365 monitoring and first-response support for mission-critical IT services in West Springfield, VA. This is an operational, hands-on role supporting federal mission systems and requires an active TS/SCI clearance. The position offers training, professional growth, and an environment focused on federal operations support.

  • Estimated salary: USD $81,700 – $90,000 per year (as posted)
  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Location: West Springfield, VA
  • Shift: Night shift (8-hour) — typically 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM EST

What You’ll Do

As a Junior PSOC Administrator you will:

  • Actively monitor assigned operational systems and services and respond to alerts.
  • Monitor approved monitoring tools for critical server and service error notifications.
  • Respond to incoming calls requesting production systems support and work to resolve issues during the initial call when possible.
  • Communicate and coordinate with on-site O&S support for incident resolution.
  • Provide timely status updates to ESC personnel and prepare information for briefings.
  • Participate in Service Restoration meetings and follow incident management processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support continuous operations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree + 2+ years relevant experience; OR Associate’s degree + 4+ years; OR HS/GED + 6+ years relevant experience.
  • Operational experience with ServiceNow.
  • Experience working in or supporting the Intelligence Community or similar federal missions.
  • DoD 8140 (formerly 8570.01-M) IAT Level I — ability to obtain/complete within 6 months of hire if not already held.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Must successfully pass background and drug screening.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred

  • Master’s degree.
  • Prior experience in a PSOC/NOC/SOC or mission-operations center.
  • Eligibility/ability to obtain a CI polygraph clearance.

Work Conditions & Schedule

  • This role supports a 24x7x365 monitoring operation.
  • Primary assigned shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM EST (night shift).
  • May require occasional overtime or participation in incident-response briefings outside normal shift hours.
