What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Junior Project Analyst to support a large hyperscale data center construction project in Brooklyn Park, MN. This role focuses on cost tracking, billing, reporting, and data analysis to help ensure the financial and operational success of the project.
- Track and analyze project costs (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other expenses)
- Prepare and manage multi-million-dollar monthly client billings, gathering and validating required supporting documents
- Maintain organized, audit-ready billing and cost documentation and respond to requests for supporting information
- Prepare weekly summary reports on project costs, labor, and activity for the project team
- Validate labor hours and costs; investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrections
- Review invoices for accuracy and duplicate charges
- Monitor billing activity, research variances, and collaborate with teams to resolve issues
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, templates, and workflows
- Own assigned responsibilities and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify discrepancies and work through issues
- Proficiency in Excel or strong interest in developing advanced Excel and data-analysis skills
- Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, curious, and willing to take initiative and ownership of assignments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate professionally with external partners
- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment (may occasionally require additional hours for critical billing/reporting deadlines)
- A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to suggest more efficient reporting/process approaches
- Ability to collaborate across departments and build working relationships throughout the organization
Compensation & Employment Type
- Employment type: Full time
- Salary range (provided by source): $60,000 – $70,000 per year
