What You’ll Do

You will join the Digital Onboarding team to shape the digital, online, and mobile customer experience for account opening and onboarding across a broad product set (self-directed brokerage, retirement, banking, stock plan, syndicate, and more). This role focuses on defining clear product requirements, collaborating with UX and engineering, and delivering measurable improvements to customer experience.

  • Drive product requirements and user stories for digital onboarding flows (web and mobile)
  • Partner with UI/UX designers to translate user research and wireframes into implementable features
  • Work closely with engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment—participate in sprint planning, standups, and demos
  • Define success metrics, track performance, and iterate on features using data and user feedback
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (risk, compliance, ops, analytics) to unblock delivery
  • Prioritize backlog items and manage trade-offs between scope, schedule, and quality
  • Support continuous discovery: conduct stakeholder interviews, analyze usage data, and synthesize findings into actionable roadmaps

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • 3–5 years’ experience as a software or digital product manager, business analyst, or equivalent role
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Strong analytical skills — ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize complex information into clear product requirements
  • Self-starter mindset with demonstrated ability to identify problems and deliver solutions
  • Experience collaborating effectively with UI/UX designers and developers to deliver client-friendly products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in financial services or account-opening/onboarding products
  • Familiarity with web and mobile analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) and A/B testing
  • Knowledge of compliance and risk considerations for financial onboarding flows
  • Experience working with product roadmap tooling (Jira, Confluence, Aha!, etc.)

Compensation & Employment Type

  • Employment type: CONTRACTOR (W2)
  • Base pay range (hourly): $30.00 – $37.00 per hour
  • Pay Rate noted in source: $37.00/hr on W2
  • Location: New York, NY — this role will be performed in accordance with local and state employment laws
