Role Overview

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to development and maintenance of Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Assist with data pipelines and ETL work to support analytics and data products.
• Write and maintain unit tests; help troubleshoot and resolve bugs.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for clean, testable code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, QA, product) in an Agile environment.
• Document work and communicate progress to technical leads and stakeholders.
• Learn and adopt CI/CD, containerization, and cloud practices as required.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
• Basic experience or coursework with Java (Java 8+), object-oriented design, and data structures.
• Familiarity with (or strong interest in learning) Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Foundational SQL skills and experience working with relational data.
• Comfortable using Git and the command line; basic Linux familiarity preferred.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective verbal/written communication.
• Motivated to learn on the job and to grow technical skills in both application development and data engineering.

• Experience with Python for data tasks, or exposure to data engineering tools (ETL frameworks, Kafka).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Coursework, projects, or internships involving data pipelines, analytics, or machine learning.
• Any hands-on project demonstrating practical coding or data engineering experience.
