What you’ll do

You will work with a technical team and mentoring instructors to build real applications and learn industry workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build or support front-end components using React.js
• Implement and test REST APIs and work with relational databases (SQL)
• Use Git for source control and participate in code reviews
• Debug issues, write unit tests, and troubleshoot integration problems
• Learn cloud basics and contribute to deploying cloud-ready applications
• Explore AI/ML concepts and how they integrate with application development
• Present your work and explain project decisions to engineers and stakeholders

What we’re looking for

We use a practical, third-party recruitment approach to identify candidates who show aptitude and a willingness to learn. Typical successful candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent coursework
• Foundational knowledge of Java (core language, OOP, collections)
• Familiarity with web basics (HTTP, REST) and a willingness to learn Spring Boot
• Exposure to JavaScript and basic React.js concepts is a plus
• Basic SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
• Comfortable using Git and a command-line workflow
• Strong problem-solving ability and eagerness to get hands-on experience
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical work clearly

• Coursework or side projects that use Spring Boot, React, or cloud platforms
