Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking motivated, entry-level Java / AI engineers to fill full-time roles supporting IT projects in Times Square, WA. This is a blended-placement role focused on helping recent grads, career-switchers, and candidates with limited hands-on experience break into production engineering and data/ML roles.
What You’ll Do
You will join a hiring pipeline focused on direct, full-time positions with Confidential Client’s customers. Typical responsibilities include:
- Contribute to Java-based applications and services.
- Support full-stack development tasks when needed (front-end + back-end).
- Assist in data- and ML-related tasks: data cleaning, basic pipelines, and model experimentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to learn best practices for cloud, testing, and CI/CD.
- Participate in technical interviews and hands-on assessments arranged by Confidential Client and Careertakes.
- Build a clear pipeline narrative: document projects, explain design choices, and present outcomes.
Who we’re looking for
Ideal candidates include recent graduates, career changers, and developers with limited production experience who can demonstrate potential and eagerness to learn:
- Entry-level Java developers or graduates in CS, Engineering, Math, or Statistics.
- Candidates transitioning from other fields who have completed self-study, bootcamps, or coursework in Java, Python, or data fundamentals.
- Applicants with portfolio projects, class projects, internships, or certifications that show hands-on work.
- People comfortable with collaborative feedback and rapid learning in team settings.
Required / Preferred skills
