What You’ll Do
The Jr. ICAM System Administrator provides entry-level operational support for Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) services that secure enterprise systems. This role works in a 24x7 operational environment and assists senior ICAM and systems administration staff to maintain secure, compliant user access.
- Support identity account provisioning, modification, and deprovisioning in accordance with security policies and documented procedures.
- Execute user and service account lifecycle tasks (create, enable, disable, remove) across supported systems and track actions in a ticketing/audit system.
- Assist with role-based access control (RBAC) assignments and directory services administration.
- Monitor ICAM request queues, respond to tickets and escalations, and assist incident troubleshooting in a shift-based, 24x7 support posture.
- Identify inactive or non-compliant accounts and escalate findings to support audit, compliance, and cybersecurity efforts.
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails to support compliance reporting and security reviews.
- Participate in shift rotations and provide leave coverage to ensure uninterrupted operational support.
Minimum Qualifications
- 0–2 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise identity, access management, or IT operations environments.
- Demonstrated experience performing user/service account provisioning, modification, and deprovisioning using documented procedures.
- Experience supporting authentication and access assignment workflows.
- Familiarity with identity platforms or directory services (e.g., Okta or similar IAM tools, Active Directory, LDAP).
- Experience using an IT service management (ITSM) or ticketing system to manage requests, incidents, and meet SLAs.
- Proven ability to maintain accurate records and audit trails supporting security assessments or access audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field OR equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to work in a shift-based or 24x7 operational environment and follow documented handoffs and escalation processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in federal government environments or supporting government contracts.
- Familiarity with HSPD-12, least-privilege access principles, and Zero Trust concepts.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools for access request and incident management.
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid identity and access management environments.
- Experience working under Public Trust or DHS suitability processes is a plus.
Workplace, Security & Eligibility
- This position is remote (telecommute) with responsibilities that support enterprise systems.
- Employment is contingent upon contract award and position availability. Selected candidates will receive a contingent offer that becomes final only upon successful contract award, position availability, and authorization to proceed.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust is required. An active Public Trust and/or DHS suitability is preferred.
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. national status is required due to contract requirements.
Compensation
- Salary range: $40,000 – $70,000 per year (estimated). Actual pay will be determined based on experience, location, and other lawful factors.
