What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Junior Full Stack Engineer to help build and maintain parts of a point-of-care health technology platform. You’ll work on both backend and frontend tasks, shipping features end-to-end and improving developer workflows.
- Build and ship features end-to-end: design and implement API endpoints and UI components, and deliver database migrations.
- Implement REST endpoints using FastAPI or Node.js and write data access code with SQLAlchemy.
- Build user-facing UI with React and TailwindCSS; develop internal data tools with Streamlit.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests for your code.
- Work in a monorepo; manage dependencies and scripts to keep the codebase stable.
- Use AI coding assistants to draft code, tests, and documentation — verify outputs and own the final result.
- Participate in code reviews, debug production issues, and document your work so others can pick it up.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 0–2 years of professional experience, or equivalent via internships, bootcamps, open source, or personal projects.
- Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript/TypeScript and a strong willingness to learn.
- Experience with at least one front-end framework (React, Next.js).
- Comfortable writing SQL queries and a basic understanding of relational data modeling.
- Familiarity with Git, pull requests and reading other people’s code.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools and the habit of validating their output.
- Strong curiosity, clear communication, and willingness to ask questions early.
Desired Experience
- Projects using FastAPI, SQLAlchemy or Streamlit.
- Exposure to monorepo tooling (e.g., uv, npm workspaces).
- Basic Docker and CI/CD experience.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Compensation
- Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 per year. The exact salary will depend on experience.
