What You’ll Do
This entry-level Environmental / Civil engineering role supports water and wastewater projects across planning, design, and construction. You’ll join a multidisciplinary project team and gain practical, hands‑on experience while working alongside experienced engineers.
- Support engineering analyses and design efforts for water, wastewater, and environmental projects
- Assist with technical reports, calculations, and project documentation
- Develop maps, figures, presentations, and other project materials using ArcGIS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and similar tools
- Participate in fieldwork and construction management activities to experience the full project lifecycle
- Research technical solutions and contribute to project deliverables under senior engineer supervision
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (or closely related discipline) OR equivalent directly related experience
- Approximately 1 year of related experience (internship/co-op or early professional experience)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of CADD; familiarity with ArcGIS and hydrologic/hydraulic tools (e.g., SWMM) is highly valued
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Preferred / Helpful Skills
- Experience preparing technical reports, figures, and presentation materials
- Prior field or construction site exposure (even limited) is a plus
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn technical design and construction management practices
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
Compensation & Additional Info
- Pay range (good‑faith estimate for the assigned geographic area): USD $66,872 — USD $110,323 per year
- Additional compensation: discretionary bonuses may apply
- Travel: Domestic and/or international travel may be required; typical amount ~10% or less
- Visa sponsorship: Not available for this position in the United States
- Background checks and drug testing: May be required where applicable; criminal history will not automatically disqualify a candidate
