Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Junior Enterprise Watch Officer to join an enterprise-scale IT operations team supporting mission-critical systems in North Springfield, VA. This is a night-shift, full-time role that focuses on incident monitoring, coordination, and timely restoration of services for senior leadership situational awareness.


What You’ll Do

  • Monitor enterprise mission systems and site status to maintain centralized situational awareness.
  • Manage Critical Priority 1 incidents to resolution, including incident intake, escalation, coordination, and closure.
  • Track and communicate operational status across cells (for example PSOC, CSOC) and with impacted mission partners.
  • Prepare and deliver Daily Operations briefs and provide timely briefings to senior leadership.
  • Collect, coordinate, and brief upcoming area-of-responsibility (AO) events and planned activities.
  • Recommend mitigation actions to reduce downtime and mission impact; assist in prioritizing service restorations.
  • Coordinate unscheduled outage communications: remediation steps, status updates, and estimated restoral times.
  • Assist with impact assessments, outage approvals, and final mission-impact determinations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support enterprise continuity.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree + 2+ years relevant experience, OR
  • Associate’s degree + 4+ years relevant experience, OR
  • 6+ years relevant experience (equivalent acceptable)
  • Operational experience with ServiceNow (incident and ticket management)
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (or similar mission-driven government IT)
  • Active TS/SCI clearance (or equivalent) required
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening

Preferred

  • Master’s degree
  • Active CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Prior enterprise watch/operations center experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to obtain CI polygraph clearance (if required)
  • Willingness to work Panama day or night shift; nights/weekends/holidays as needed
  • Ability to float across shifts/teams and work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills in fast-paced contracting environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; experience briefing senior leaders
  • Customer-focused phone and remote-support skills; ability to train end users
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and common collaboration tools
  • Strong problem-solving and abstract-reasoning skills; friendly and professional demeanor

Compensation

  • Estimated base salary: USD $74,300 — USD $90,000 per year (range provided by source)

Location & Schedule

  • Location: North Springfield, VA
  • Schedule: Night-shift (may include nights, weekends, holidays); position may serve as a floater across shifts
