Role Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking entry-level talent for roles including Junior Data Visualization Analyst, Data Scientist, and Software Developer based in Charlotte, NC. What You’ll Do

• Work on real-world projects that demonstrate data visualization, analysis, and engineering skills.
• Build dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, matplotlib, or similar.
• Clean, transform, and model datasets using SQL and Python (pandas); prepare data for analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype data pipelines and support ETL/data ingestion tasks.
• Assist with exploratory data analysis and basic ML model experiments (feature engineering, evaluation).
• Participate in mock interviews, technical coaching, and resume/portfolio improvements to increase interview callbacks.
• Prepare for employer technical filters (for some placements this may include Java, Spring Boot, microservices, or DevOps basics).

Qualifications

• Recent graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a related field — OR equivalent self-taught/project experience.
• Candidates with limited professional experience, career gaps, layoffs, or seeking a career change are encouraged to apply.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn in a structured training + placement program.
• Basic familiarity with SQL and one programming language (Python or Java preferred).
• Good communication skills and the ability to present data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Salary range (posted): $78,000 - $136,000 per year.
