What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring for an entry-level IT role that blends data science, BI, and software-development fundamentals. You will work on production-style analytics and small ML/ETL projects that move beyond academic capstones into reusable artifacts.

• Build and optimize SQL queries and data extracts for reporting and analysis
• Develop dashboards and visualizations in Power BI or Tableau to communicate KPIs to stakeholders
• Implement ETL steps and lightweight data pipelines using Python and common data platforms
• Prototype simple ML solutions (churn, fraud, recommendation) and document assumptions, metrics, and limitations
• Work with cloud data tools such as Databricks or Snowflake (or similar) to prepare datasets for analysis
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts to productionize analytic deliverables and ensure reproducibility
• Produce clear explanations and presentations tailored for technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate in technical and behavioral interview prep and deliver polished project artifacts for hiring screens

What We’re Looking For

This role is designed for early-career candidates or career-switchers who can demonstrate practical, production-focused skills.

• Bachelor’s degree (CS, Engineering, Math, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency writing SQL queries against relational/analytical databases
• Hands-on experience with Python (data libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn)
• Experience building dashboards in Power BI or Tableau
• Familiarity with basic ML concepts and model evaluation (classification/regression)
• Comfort working with messy data, documenting assumptions, and measuring business impact
• Strong communication skills and ability to present results to stakeholders

Preferred (not required):

• Exposure to Databricks, Snowflake, or other cloud data platforms
• Familiarity with Git, basic software engineering practices, or simple ETL tools
• Coursework, capstone, or personal projects that include end-to-end analytics or BI deliverables

Compensation & Employment Type

• Employment type: Full-time
• Base salary: $82,000 - $136,000 per year (salary range provided by our client)
