What You’ll Do
Confidential Client’s Office of Management, Analysis, and Planning (OMAP) is seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst to support data-driven decision making across the organization. You will work with program teams and senior analysts to collect, clean, analyze, visualize, and communicate data that informs policy and operational improvements.
- Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources
- Contribute to the development, monitoring, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing and regression
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to explain findings to stakeholders
- Create clear visualizations using tools such as Dash and Tableau
- Assist senior analysts with data exploration, modeling, and ad-hoc analyses
- Help automate and operationalize server-based reports and dashboards
- Participate in data validation, cleansing, and data quality efforts
- Support implementation and adherence to data governance policies and standards
Minimum Qualifications
The client’s published minimum qualifications include the following alternative routes (candidates meeting any one are considered):
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties described; or
- High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to the duties described; or
- Education and/or experience equivalent to the above. Note: all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in item 1 above.
Employment is subject to verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Dash)
- Experience developing, deploying, and automating server-based reports and dashboards
- Familiarity with statistical modeling and applied data analysis
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate multiple deliverables
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $62,868 – $72,298 per year
- Public Service Loan Forgiveness and federal/state repayment programs may apply for eligible hires

Location & Residency Requirement
- Job location: New York, NY
- New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment; exceptions and extended residence options may apply for certain titles and employees who meet continuous service criteria. Discuss residency applicability with the hiring representative during interview.
