What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level data analyst role focused on collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting business data to help stakeholders make informed decisions. You will partner with senior analysts and business users to maintain and improve reporting and ensure data accuracy across platforms.

• Document report, dashboard, and project requirements (specifications, Statements of Work).
• Collect, validate, and analyze datasets used in reporting and business analysis initiatives.
• Reconcile datasets across multiple reports and dashboards to ensure consistency.
• Maintain and optimize report/dashboard access, user permissions, and security groups.
• Support development, enhancement, and maintenance of SSRS and Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests and produce clear data summaries for non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve data quality issues and support data governance.
• Learn and develop proficiency in the firm’s programming languages, databases, and data structures.

Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or related field preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis functions).
• Experience or exposure to SQL and relational databases preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a clear attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting requirements and presenting findings.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment and taking ownership of assigned tasks.

Nice-to-Have (Preferred)

• Experience with Power BI and/or SSRS report development or maintenance.
• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL basics, or reporting best practices.
• Prior experience in a professional services or legal environment (helpful but not required).

Location & Schedule

• Location: New York, NY — this is a hybrid role. In-office attendance in accordance with the department schedule is an essential function of the job.
• Candidates must be able to commute to the office as required by the hybrid schedule.

Employment Details & Compensation

• Employment type: Full-time
• Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 (range provided by Confidential Client). Actual pay is based on experience, education, and other lawful factors.
