What You’ll Do

You will support data-driven decision making for Confidential Client by collecting, preparing, analyzing, and presenting data. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Collect, clean, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources to prepare datasets for analysis.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for extraction and analysis of large datasets.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights to support business stakeholders.
  • Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Support automation of recurring reports and reporting processes.
  • Document datasets, ETL steps, reports, and analytical processes for reproducibility.
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging analytics tools.

Who You Are (Required Skills & Experience)

The right candidate will be an analytical problem-solver with strong SQL ability and experience building reports.

  • 1–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing relational data.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data functions).
  • Solid understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and validation techniques.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to relocate anywhere within the United States for onsite client projects when required.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

These skills will help you accelerate in the role but are not required.

  • Experience with Python (pandas) or R for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of basic statistics, forecasting methods, or predictive analytics techniques.
  • Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
  • Experience designing interactive dashboards and KPI scorecards.

Qualifications & Role Details

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Employment type: Full-time.
  • Seniority: Entry level / Junior (1–4 years experience).
  • Location: United States (must be willing to relocate for onsite client projects).
