What You’ll Do
This entry-level, on-site Junior Data Analyst role supports the analytics team by preparing reliable data and routine reports so senior analysts and business stakeholders can make informed decisions.
- Pull, combine, and organize data from spreadsheets, internal tools, and databases.
- Support production of routine reports and simple dashboards for business users.
- Perform basic data cleaning, validation, and quality checks.
- Document data preparation and reporting steps so analyses are repeatable.
- Escalate and flag data inconsistencies or data-quality issues to appropriate teams.
- Assist senior analysts on larger projects and follow their technical guidance.
- Attend team meetings to understand business context and requirements.
Qualifications
We’ll consider candidates with formal coursework, certifications, or relevant hands-on experience at the entry level.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent coursework/experience.
- Proficient with Excel (pivot tables, vlookups/index-match, basic formulas).
- Exposure to SQL is a strong plus; familiarity with basic SELECT/join queries helpful.
- Comfortable learning new tools (BI tools, scripting, or internal platforms).
- Detail-oriented and methodical with strong data hygiene habits.
- Clear communicator who asks questions and responds well to feedback.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset and eagerness to develop analyst skills.
Compensation
- Base salary range: $48,000–$55,000 per year (range provided by the client).
- This is an on-site, full-time, entry-level position located in Houston, TX.
