What You’ll Do
This entry-level Junior Data Analyst role at a Confidential Client is a hands-on opportunity to build core analytics skills while supporting day-to-day reporting and data quality work.
- Pull, consolidate, and organize data from spreadsheets, internal databases, and business tools
- Create and maintain routine reports and simple dashboards used by business teams
- Perform basic data cleaning, validation, and quality checks
- Assist senior analysts on larger projects and analyses
- Document reproducible steps and methods to ensure repeatable reporting
- Identify and flag data inconsistencies or gaps to relevant teams
- Participate in team meetings to learn business context and requirements
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent coursework/experience
- Basic Excel skills required; familiarity with SQL is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data work
- Eagerness to learn new tools, techniques, and business domains
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable asking questions, accepting feedback, and iterating on work
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with basic visualizations or dashboard tools (e.g., Google Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI)
- Familiarity with spreadsheet functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables) and basic data transformations
- Exposure to scripting for automation (Python/R) is beneficial but not required
Compensation & Logistics
- Compensation: $48,000–$55,000 per year
- Employment type: Full-time, On-site in Austin, TX
