What You’ll Do
This entry-level role supports the marketing team by producing clear, accurate, on-brand copy across retail, digital, and social channels. You’ll learn the client’s voice and processes while working with designers, project managers, and senior writers.
- Write and edit copy for in-store signage, promotional materials, email, social, and digital assets
- Support campaign- and promotion-focused content for DIY and Commercial audiences
- Ensure content accuracy and consistency with brand voice and style guidelines
- Conduct basic product and competitive research to validate messaging
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to meet deadlines
- Participate in creative brainstorms and contribute ideas
- Maintain organized file structures and follow established workflows
- Continuously develop writing skills and stay current with content best practices
Responsibilities
- Assist senior writers in drafting and revising copy for multiple channels
- Implement feedback from creative leads and maintain version control
- Follow brand guidelines to keep tone and messaging consistent
- Prepare content for production—proofread, check product details, and format copy
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver assets on schedule
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, advertising, communications, English, or related field required
- Internship or academic experience in copywriting, editorial work, or marketing preferred
- Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating clarity, creativity, and attention to detail
- Basic proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with digital/content platforms is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to take direction in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent grammar, proofreading, and time-management skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish candidates encouraged to apply (plus)
