What You’ll Do

The Junior Copywriter will support a retail marketing team by creating clear, on-brand copy for in-store, digital, social, and promotional channels. This entry-level role is hands-on and ideal for a recent graduate or early-career writer who wants to learn brand voice, campaign execution, and marketing workflows while producing real assets under senior guidance.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in writing and editing copy for in-store signage, promotional materials, email, web, and social channels
  • Support content development for DIY and commercial campaigns under supervision
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency with brand voice and style guidelines
  • Conduct basic product and market research to validate messaging and facts
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other writers to meet deadlines
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
  • Maintain organized file structures and follow established workflow processes
  • Learn and apply writing best practices and emerging tools to build foundational skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, advertising, communications, English, or a related field required
  • Internship or academic experience in copywriting preferred
  • Strong writing samples demonstrating clarity, creativity, and editing ability
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with digital content platforms a plus
  • Ability to take direction, work collaboratively, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
