What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level civil engineer to develop technical expertise in airfield pavement engineering. This role provides hands-on experience on airport pavement design, evaluation, testing, and pavement management projects.

• Develop technical expertise in airfield pavement design, evaluation, testing, and pavement management
• Support senior engineers and project managers with pavement design, analysis, testing, and engineering evaluations
• Participate in pavement-related field testing, condition assessments, data collection, and evaluation
• Analyze engineering data, interpret results, and assist in developing practical recommendations
• Use tools such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, GIS, AutoCAD, PAVER, FAARFIELD, and database systems for analysis and reporting
• Prepare technical reports, figures, tables, and presentations that clearly communicate findings
• Perform field work with attention to accuracy, documentation, quality, and safety
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, project managers, clients, and other multidisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program (GPA ≥ 3.0/4.0)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to travel for field assignments (nationwide travel ~10%–20% annually; limited international travel may be required)
• Experience with programming languages, database development, AutoCAD, and/or GIS preferred
• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred
• Candidates may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Location & Travel

• Position is based in Pleasantville, NJ (assigned office).
• Hybrid schedule: attendance in the assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week, plus required project-related travel.
• Field assignments and on-site client work are expected; travel approximately 10%–20% annually depending on project needs, season, and workload.

Compensation & Benefits

• Anticipated salary range: $56,000 to $64,000 per year (depending on education, experience, and location).
• Additional compensation may be available for extended work weeks associated with travel and field assignments.
