Position summary
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Junior Chemical or Mechanical Engineer to join their manufacturing team in Delaware Water Gap, PA. This role provides hands-on exposure to GMP‑regulated production, equipment/process troubleshooting, validation support (IQ/OQ/PQ), and continuous improvement projects. Hourly pay: $24.00–$30.00/hr.
What You’ll Do
- Support day-to-day engineering system activities in a GMP manufacturing environment
- Collect, track, analyze, and summarize operational and process data
- Assist with Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) activities
- Prepare technical reports, summaries, and validation/process documentation
- Monitor system performance; support troubleshooting by gathering and documenting findings
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, reliability, and efficiency
- Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Production, Maintenance, and R&D teams
- Analyze process workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and streamlining
Required experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Up to two years of relevant experience (internship/co‑op/project experience acceptable)
- Basic understanding of engineering systems and process equipment
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to collect, organize, and interpret technical data
- Willingness to learn, be hands‑on, and work in a fast‑paced team environment
- Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous learning and teamwork
Preferred experience
- Internship, co‑op, research, contract, or relevant project experience in manufacturing
- Exposure to GMP‑regulated manufacturing environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, etc.)
- Experience supporting validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Familiarity with water systems, utilities, or process equipment
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and technical documentation practices
Compensation & benefits
- Pay: $24.00–$30.00 per hour
