Responsibilities
Confidential Client is looking for an entry-level Business Systems and Reporting Analyst to support reporting, data validation, testing, and process improvement across business analytics and payments teams. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Create, modify, and maintain operational, management, monitoring, and reconciliation reports using SQL, Excel, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Cognos, or other reporting tools.
- Work with senior analysts and business stakeholders to clarify reporting requirements and translate business needs into effective reports and dashboards.
- Review reports, data extracts, file loads, and other outputs for completeness and accuracy; reconcile differences and escalate data-integrity concerns.
- Investigate system and reporting issues, document findings, and coordinate with appropriate teams to resolve or escalate.
- Perform user-acceptance testing for reports, system enhancements, scripts, and new processes; prepare test cases and record evidence.
- Provide process-improvement suggestions to increase accuracy and efficiency of recurring reporting and monitoring tasks.
- Support implementations (clients, products, vendors, systems) by confirming requirements, mapping data, creating readiness reviews, and completing post-implementation validation.
- Maintain clear documentation: report definitions, procedures, data flows, test results, and issue summaries.
- Log and track tickets in the organization’s ticketing system; validate corrections and support project work as assigned.
- Cross-train on reporting environment, payment products, and banking portals to provide flexible analytical support as priorities evolve.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, data analysis, finance, accounting, computer science, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience; internships, coursework, or project experience are considered.
- Strong Excel skills and a foundational understanding of SQL and relational data concepts.
- Demonstrated curiosity, critical thinking, and a desire to learn systems and business context behind reports.
- High attention to detail when working with financial data and transactions.
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to document work so others can reproduce results.
- Ability to organize assignments, balance recurring responsibilities with project work, and ask for guidance when priorities are unclear.
- Comfortable collaborating with business departments, IT, project managers, and external partners.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Cognos, or similar reporting/visualization tools.
- Exposure to financial services, banking, payments, reconciliations, file processing, workflow automation, or system testing.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, ticketing systems, and collaborative project environments.
Work Arrangement & Location
- This is a hybrid position based in Commerce, GA. The typical schedule includes three days per week in the Commerce office and two days working from home.
- Applicants must currently live within commuting distance of Commerce, GA and be able to travel to the office as required for training and team collaboration.
Compensation
- Base salary: $65,000 per year (as provided by the confidential client).
