Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Junior Business & Data Analyst in Jersey City, NJ. This is a full-time, immediate-hire opportunity for candidates who can gather and validate business and data requirements, support testing and implementation, and translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable documentation.
What You’ll Do
- Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and data requirements for new and existing projects.
- Map and analyze business models, workflows, and processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, developers, and project teams to ensure alignment on scope and deliverables.
- Support testing, implementation, and production support phases to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that translate data into actionable business insights.
- Collect customer and stakeholder feedback through workshops, surveys, and interviews.
- Recommend process improvements focused on efficiency, quality, and cost optimization.
- Stay current on best practices, tools, and trends in business and data analysis.
- Communicate user needs and functional requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts, business process mapping, and requirements documentation.
- Familiarity with common tools (Excel, Google Sheets, basic SQL or BI tools) is a plus.

- Candidates located in or near Jersey City, NJ will be prioritized.
- Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
