Overview

Confidential client is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support business analysis, documentation, and project coordination for IT initiatives. This is an entry-to-early-career role (0–4 years) offered as a W2 contract with flexible work modes (onsite, hybrid, or remote depending on project needs). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable analyzing data, and familiar with basic tools like SQL, JIRA, and Python.


Responsibilities

  • Gather, organize, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Analyze datasets to surface trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and other project team members in an Agile environment.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and verify system behavior against requirements.
  • Assist with process-mapping, gap analysis, and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Produce clear status updates, requirement documentation, and concise reporting for project teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline.
  • 0–4 years of professional experience; recent graduates and early-career candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic familiarity with:
    • SQL (writing simple queries, pulling result sets)
    • Issue tracking / Agile tools (JIRA or similar)
    • Python (basic scripting or data manipulation)
    • Microsoft Windows and standard office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred / Nice-to-have

  • Coursework or hands-on experience with data visualization or BI tools.
  • Exposure to software development lifecycle (SDLC) artifacts and Agile ceremonies.
  • Internship or project experience in IT, analytics, or product teams.

Work location & schedule

  • Location: Atlantic Beach / Jacksonville area, FL — remote or hybrid options available depending on project requirements.
  • Work mode: Hybrid / Remote / Onsite based on project and client needs.
  • Employment type: Full-time (W2 contract as listed).

Compensation

  • Estimated pay (from source): approximately $47,502 per year (estimated). Exact pay will depend on experience, role placement, and client location.
  • This role is listed as a W2 contract. Additional compensation details (OT, benefits, or stipends) will be shared during the interview process when available.

Work authorization

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Examples of commonly accepted authorizations include U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and individuals with valid Employment Authorization Documents (EAD).
