Role Overview

Confidential Client (a Creative & Design agency) is hiring a Junior Art Director in New York, NY. This hands-on role supports creative teams to develop print, TV and digital campaign assets—from concept and storyboards through final release—working closely with senior creative leads. Portfolio required.


What You’ll Do

  • Concept and develop creative campaign ideas across print, television and digital channels
  • Create storyboards, print imagery and cascading assets for integrated campaigns
  • Execute and refine artwork using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
  • Support video and motion deliverables; collaborate with editors using Premiere Pro and After Effects when needed
  • Take ownership of assigned deliverables from brief to final art, including QA and production hand-off
  • Collaborate closely with copywriters, producers, photographers and account teams to meet client objectives and deadlines
  • Help maintain organized project files and contribute to creative reviews and critique sessions

Qualifications

  • Portfolio required — include recent student or spec work that demonstrates strong print and integrated campaign thinking
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign). Premiere Pro and After Effects experience is a plus
  • Experience with print design is required; digital content creation (video/photography/experiential) is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or equivalent industry experience, or demonstrable agency internship/work experience
  • Prior creative internships or agency experience, ideally contributing to 360/fully integrated campaigns
  • Passion for beauty and fashion categories; culturally astute and aware of trends
  • Strong communication, time-management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments

Work Location & Schedule

  • This role is based in New York, NY. Confidential Client requires in-office collaboration; employees should expect to work on-site multiple days per week as directed by the client (the client’s policy currently includes a multi-day in-office requirement).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $50,000–$55,000 per year (placement within the range depends on experience, discipline, market and other factors)
  • Competitive benefits will be provided by the client; specific benefits and policies are determined by the hiring organization
